About Us

Subi Foundation Nepal is a non-profit, public welfare organization working to build inclusive, resilient, and self-reliant communities across Nepal, with a particular focus on remote, marginalized, and vulnerable populations.

With roots in Humla and a strong understanding of mountain and remote communities, we work alongside communities to address social, economic, environmental, and humanitarian challenges. Our programs focus on education and health, sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience and environmental conservation, women and youth empowerment, social inclusion, and humanitarian response and disaster resilience.

We believe that sustainable development begins with empowered communities and locally led solutions. We therefore work in partnership with local communities, governments, civil society organizations, development partners, humanitarian agencies, and national and international organizations to strengthen local capacities, mobilize resources, and create practical solutions that can be sustained over time.

Our approach is grounded in community participation, dignity, inclusion, local knowledge, environmental responsibility, transparency, and partnership. We seek to ensure that women, children, youth, older people, marginalized groups, and vulnerable households have meaningful opportunities to participate in and benefit from development.

From supporting essential services and sustainable livelihoods to strengthening climate and disaster resilience and responding to humanitarian emergencies, Subi Foundation Nepal works with communities to turn local priorities into meaningful action.
