The event was attended by 30 participants including women ward representatives, health post staff, and school teachers. The program was organized with the technical support of SUBI Foundation and financial support from the Drinking Water, Irrigation, and Energy Development Office, Humla.

The main objective of the program was to assess the current WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene)

situation in the ward following the ODF declaration, identify ongoing challenges, and empower local stakeholders—especially women representatives—for sanitation promotion at the community level. The training covered topics such as hygiene practices, safe drinking water usage, and menstrual hygiene management.

Local representatives expressed their appreciation for the program, noting that such initiatives play a crucial role in ensuring sustainable sanitation. The training is expected to strengthen total sanitation management at the local level and contribute to the promotion of public health.
